After a campaign to take over the entire sports bar market in Pattaya the Retox Group have finally admitted they have bitten of more than they can chew and closed down their bar in Soi Leng Kee....Another UK bar group Scooters which specialises in retro 60s style bars has also had to close down one of their bars just of Walking Street. There is just not enough British mongers coming over and the bar prices are too high for your average Pattaya expat to drink in everyday. Tough times in sin city

Not sure about the boiler room boys. Their investors all seemed to be mongers who had enjoyed their 2 week shagfest so much they decided to stay

There bars were just about okay if you had to be out with the mates. I'd honestly rather drink and some mom and pop type restaurant in Jomtien with ice cold Leos and spicy Thai foods to accompany.

The bars are Brits/Aussies on the piss sort of thing. Cheap western pub food, 24 hour sport and serving girls in bikinis. Some folk like that but its not Thailand in any way

That was one of the problems along with being undercut on their breakfasts and the owners deciding that there was just not enough customers to warrant having two bars within walking distance of each other.

I believe the original owner of Cheap Charlie's sold it, then opened another joint that's almost identical called Hungry Hippo a few hundred yards away. Surprised we havent read of a fire-bombing . Haven't been to either but the food pics that pop up on the local food groups occasionally always look ok (considering the price).

Bronx pizza had to move from next to Retox as that whole parcel of land is being re-developed, they only crossed the Soi to a shophouse though. Was in there after a drunken night on LK recently and they were doing really well.

Thats like the owner of the 18 coins restaurant on Soi Bukaow sold up and moved directly over the soi and opened up a new place called The Coins.....which was in the premises that became cheap charlies

There is no Retox Bar in Jontiem. The two they have left are Retox Game On which is on Soi Honey and Retox Outback which is on the darkside. The one on Soi Honey is currently up for sale with a 12.5 million baht asking price.
