No point hakes ok. If I want snapper I will cook it myself. It's a UK thing but I always throw in another fiver for the curry sauce. Quite like it on the chips

Today I headed back up to that mountain lake I came across on my ride.

Packed up my drone for some aerial pics

Drone pic from the far end of the lake overlooking the valley

Pic from the dam end. Its not a big lake but a deep one and lots of fish.

Mountains surrounding it are really quite beautiful. I fully expect to run into some elephants here at some point.

I took a ride along the lake side. Its pretty over grown. I have a few vids.

Next trek is early morning with my fly fishing and spin cast gear for some fun and of course that will include a cooler full of beers and some sammies.

I just got a terrible call from the wife of a long time dear friend. I was really set back. My long time Thai colleague and buddy passed around noon today from an accident that occurred late yesterday. I am really set back by it. He was 43. I had worked with him for almost 12 years. A super sharp guy who was a lot of fun to be around and talk too. I just spoke with him yesterday morning about his house project on speaker phone and his wife and I were laughing. We then laughed about our Lotto ticket numbers hoping to win to retire. We enjoyed many a dinner together with his family and my wife and I.

    Sad Day indeed.

Here is to you Wattana. We enjoyed a few good bourbons. Rest in peace.

I am drinking bourbon right now myself. Nothing as nice as Wattie Boone and sons, just my regular 4 roses single barrel. I will pour my next round in his honor, may he rest in peace. Cheers JP and my condolences.

Man Snubs, I gotta tell ya. I am totally set back. Wattana was such a cool guy. If we were all sitting in a bar, you would laugh and joke with him. He totally understand western humor and on some van rides we took together he was a total smart ass and made me laugh. I remember one time we were on our way to Rayong to our other factory and we were laughing talking shit and I told my van driver to pull over. He asked why. I said because Wat is walking the rest of the way. We all bust out laughing. Good times.

    I will miss him.

I gotta agree with moose on this one. In WA they are known as potato scallops
They are great but I can't see the point in ordering them.when we have the 4 pieces of fish. A more than generous serving of chips. A side of dim sim or crab sticks or pineapple ring. I sometimes throw caution to the wind and get 6 battered mussels 6 battered oysters. The kids hate em luckily
He promised to headbutt me, if he ever saw me. Charming.

I guess that my solution would be that he 'never saw me'.

Damn. Way too young. A reminder that this can happen at any age, and bedamned how careful you are or how healthy you live! It’s not a glass, but it’s the best I have right now!
