In fact, I've been away from home with he daughter for three weeks now and I was thinking about those of the family we left behind. I'm starting to miss my motley pack.

The day before we left... Anna receiving a lot of attention. I hope they've all been nice to her while we've been away.

Yogi usually looks after her.



Our pack leader Max absolutely loves the daughter. We found him as a puppy on the road up from our house around seven years ago, and he's been the daughter's puppy ever since.



She's a good kid... said goodbye to each member of the pack before we left.

In fact I haven't measured her for a couple of weeks so she'll probably be 5' 6" by now.


Anyway, this is what an Economy Extra ticket gets you for breakfast on long haul KLM these days... yes, a fucking 'Breakfast bar'.

Needless to say, inedible.



I took along a couple of rounds of British lamb sandwiches for sustenance during the flight, knowing full well about how KLM catering is.



And this is a plate of my wife's Isaan bugs.



So, which plate will Anna go for?



She was straight onto the task, no messing. Anna is always game for this kind of thing, a lovely dog. (as are all street dogs, btw)



Straight on to the KLM 'Breakfast bar' for a cursory sniff... but good God, no...



A brief 'sniff and look' at the Isaan bugs...



And, directly on to the Best of British lamb sandwich, made by yours truly.

I can only deduce that my quickly made lamb sandwiches were top choice and the KLM 'Breakfast bar' was just marginally preferable to a plate of Isaan bugs.

Raise your game KLM, other carriers can at least supply edible food.
