Hi from Chiangmai

Hi everyone,

I've been reading this forum for quite a while now. I've been following
a lot of interesting and fun threads and decided I'd like to join in.

Originally from Ireland I've been living in Thailand for about two years,
a few months in Bangkok and the rest of the time up here in Chiangmai.
I'm pretty sure I've already met a lot of the regular Chiangmai posters
in real life.

I work for an ISP just outside the city and have recently become a Dad for
the first time. Happy days

Hi Thetyim,

Thanks for the welcome.

Not one of the big Thai ISPs. We mostly work for other companies.
We've built networks for a lot of the big factories out Lamphun way,
some hospitals and schools, and a couple of the Universities. We
also did the networking for Royal Flora and the CM local government
offices. Not sure I can give the name of the company on a public
forum though. PM me if you like.

Just to add a bit to my first post, I lived in England for about 20
years, mostly in the Hulme and Moss Side areas of Manchester.
Anybody here live around there in the 80's or 90's?

No, but one of my girlfriends came from there and I did a bit of trading in the old Man Corn-Exchange now and then.
Used to live in the Calder Valley.
I'm from Germany originally.

Hi Bob,
I am at the hillside 4,on Huay Kaew Rd by the Central Market . I have been in LOS since November and am getting a retirement visa this march. Hope that you enjoy Cm as much as I, wish they would do something about the pollution, though. It gets really bad at the end of January through Feb and March, with the field burning.
