How to get a parrot cage in Thailand

I Joined about a week agao. Been here about 7 months. I'm leaving for the U.S. for about 6 weeks and then return. I am going to attempt to bring my African Grey Parrot when I return. I have info on forms I need but can't find where to purchase a bird cage for a parrot. I am living in Korat. No one knows if any available here. Will be in Bangkok for two days prior to departure. Wondering if any available in Bangkok.

Does anyone know of any members who own parrots?

I am am also wondering if there are any business directories in Korat or Bangkok. Seems like I get the same answer from everyone "I don't know"
When asked how I might find out. same answer "I don't know" I guess it's the culture. Not much imagination.

Remember that if you stop (even for a few hours with no plane change) anywhere between US and Thailand, you'll need clearance through those countries as well. Brought my dog to Thailand in May 05, required vet health cert and copy of vaccinations faxed to Taipei prior to takeoff in Los Angeles.

I have a Sun Conure and I have a cage for her, I got it when I bought her at a shop in town, it is about 24x24x34, something about that size.
But the shops here in town seem to all have large cages in different shapes.

Your cage has to meet specific requirements. You need to buy a plastic dog kennel small or med and modify it to meet airline and USA requirements. I am attempting to bring my two African Greys from the USA to Thailand and am having great difficulty. It is an extremley difficult process! You will need a permit from the US Fish and Wildlife to bring a parrot into the US. You will have to have it vet checked within 10 days of the flight. You have to contact the airlines to make arrangements. The parrot will have to be quarantined upon entry into the US. Very complex

birds have wings for a reason, to keep a bird confined in a cage for the amusement of its "owner" is selfish, nasty and cruel beyond belief.

    shame on you.

The house opposite had a talking bird, very fuking irritating too... notice HAD... They also have a very irritating, non-stop barking (especially likes the hours of 2-4am) English Bull Terrier. Bitch.

Anyways, they were both kept outside... I guess the Bull Terrier finally had enough of the bird, managed to get into the cage one day and that was all she wrote...

The dog still barks, but it's a definite improvement.
    Cycling should be banned!!!
