Greetings to everyone at Teakdoor

Like a few people on the forum, I have been lurking for quite some time, but only recently decided to start posting.

I have been a long time poster on another Thai based forum, but to be honest I find the atmosphere here to be far more friendly, especially at the moment with all the troubles going on.

A little background.

I have lived in Bangkok for over twenty years now, which basically equates to nearly all my adult life. Married for coming upto 18 years with 2 absolutely great teenage daughters. (most of the time anyway..)

Even after all these years, I still love the country, the people and the way of life. It is by no means perfect, I have seen many examples of the good as well as the bad, but still believe that it has potential, which is more than can be said for many places. Maybe to survive here, you need to be both a realist as well as an eternal optimist...
