    A belated introduction.

Just read another thread, and a comment from DD:

"An awfull crime, joining a forum and not even introducing yourself, much the same as you have just done, tosser."

This wasn't directed at me, though it did make me check my previous posts to see if I'd maintained protocol. Not.

So, lived here permanently for nearly 3 years, for 2 of which I was commuting elsewhere for work. From school was in the UK military for 8 years, and spent the rest of my life in the oil industry. Lived and worked in quite a few countries, though the last 10 years or so mainly Africa.

Since in Thailand, as with most of us, had varied experiences, though in truth 99% good. Been through the cycle of renting accommodation, buying house (through company), cars, boat, various licences and registrations. 2 years with the same lady (strictly non BG) got married quite recently. Have 2 dogs (Golden Retrievers), and whilst I hate to admit it, a third, my wife's poodle (actually a good dog, but yappy).

Live in Phuket, which is actually a great place to live, depending on your lifestyle. Very good range of services when you need them, fantastic facilities and places to visit (away from the west coast).

This sounds to me as though you are British, hmmmm, yet you missed the sarcasm in my post, it was aimed at the admin of that other forum who was complaining that missimiggins never introduced himself before posting, I was just pointing out the fact to the idiot that he had done exactly the same as what he was complaining about.

No, I recognised the sarcasm, but that didn't stop me from thinking about my own (lack of) introduction. I also recognise that whilst many are genuine posters, there are the occasional trolls/aliases. I never have an issue about who/what I am, and where I'm from.

Welcome indeed PAG. I've enjoyed your posts so far, you seem like a well balanced and cognative poster.

I look forward to more of your contributions.

    Cheers!

Welcome,…….I have never done an intro. Maybe one day I’ll get around to it.

Yeah, I missed the whole intro thing too. No real reasons as to why not. Maybe I'm just an unfriendly git.

Nice intro PAG, you seem to have lived a full and varied life.
