    I'm Mr. Eric Satie

Hello, this is my newbie intro thread. I've been reading TeakDoor now and then for about a year. I'm a member, like many of you, on some of the other Thailand forums. If you can guess who I am, you're something special . I love the travel stories and the real "on the ground" info here as I live in Thailand and real up to date stuff about what's what is always appreciated. A few factoids about me: I'm a yank. I'm under 30. I've been oversees now for a couple years. Looking forward to seeing you all on the boards.

Howdydoo, Eric. Welcome to Teak Door.

The next generation of web forums, where threads develop artificial intelligence, start reading Sartre and accrue a vague sense of nausea for their OPs.

    Yes I did

One of my favourite pieces of classical music.

(who would have thought I would like classical music?)

I found smoking Australian hydroponic and reading the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett was a good combination.

Handel wrote some pretty neat stuff if you have the time to listen.

The combination of acid and the 'Ride of the Valkyries' is worth experiencing (as long as you don't expect to do or say anything sensible for the following week).

Marmite, you'll be eating your words soon enough.

Thanks for the replies. You make a newbie feel welcome enough.

I find this interfact quite neat. Great functionality.

Well I'm deep into my midterm testing at my school, which means no long hours surfing tonight. I need to record and burn a CD of a conversation to play for a listening test tomorrow.

I'll now get out of the newbie room and onto the board, with your kind consent, sirs.

U need to come up on the acid with Velvet Undergrounds 'Heroin' first though.
