Hi to all - especially cricket fans

Just thought I would say Hi. Dropped in as I am listening to the Ashes on the Internet and hanging around the laptop all day as a result.

England going to the dogs on the field, but I'll stick around listening and here on TD.

^Hi - wish I could be, but I am looking after a family member for a while. Also, they don't have satallite TV, hence listening to the excellent TMS on the INternet.

Welcome! It will be interesting to read what you think of England after being gone a quarter century. I hope you enjoy your vacation (?) from LOS.

^UK is quite nice actually and very cheap compared to Thailand. Not really a holiday, just that my father and another relative are quite ill and it was appropriate to spend some time with them and also sort out a number of family matters.

Also lovely to drink some proper beer at reasonable prices and eat some food that is not off, old or poor quality. Somehow you get used to that in Thailand. I forgot what a proper steak tastes like...

^Understood. I've been back (though not in the UK) for about two months now. It's got its ups and downs but overall I'm glad I made the decision I did (family was involved, as well).
