Hi I am Charlie, currently in the UK but not for much longer hopefully. All being well i should be be in LOS by late April or early May.
Plan is to find a reasonable bugdet hotel, so i can find a long term rental. Just spent a month touring in Ubon BKK and Samui, and decided Samui is best of both worlds. Will be looking for at least one bedroom place with minimal comforts up to 12k per month.
Not sure if i prefer Chaweng north or Lamai but open to offers or suggestions. (Legal only please).
I have dipped my toe in the big boys pool and they do seem and eclectic lot with plenty of humour and the occasional spiteful spat.
Loads of useful stuff on here, hope to conrtibute when i am able to offer a worthy opinion.

Plenty of good deals at that time of year, you might not have to pay that much.

Get some ideas off the net if you can, but the best deals are found just driving around the areas that you like.
Most of the smaller places don't have websites.

I am sure i will offend some with my dumb farang questions but we all had to start somewhere.
For me just getting to LOS in one piece was an achievement. There is obviously loads of knowledge available on here. Hey even i might be able to help someone one day.
I can eat soup without dribbling and hold a conversation, but not both at the same time.
