Finally my first hello

Hello to all the fine TeakDoor members

I have read your forum for almost 2 years now. Sometimes I wanted to barge in with my opinion and have finally decided to join.

My reason:

I have been married to a Filipina for now 29 years and have a general interest in this part of the world. Special area of interest were those amazing building threads. Great stuff there.

Thanks for the welcome.

I live in Berlin, Germany. Was living here for almost my complete life.

Lots of vacations in the Philippines though.

Time is coming when we will be able to spend more time there soon. That's one reason to look into the building threads.

Don't think so!

The name is just what was my impression of things going on in Thailand.

I have been vacationing in Thailand three times for a few weeks.

Two times out of three I was in the middle of military takeovers. I wonder if that's the normal ratio.

Thailand is really a fun place to be.

Agreed!

She was a teacher for Home Economics and PE, especially traditional philipino dances.

She's putting her skills to good use now here in Berlin. She is teaching those dances to young filipinas and children of german-filipina couples and they dance at all kind of occasions.

That brings a number of real beauties into our house regularly.

None of them can compare to my daugher though.

I have only recently switched to a DYNAX 5D DSLR. Haven't done much until now.

But I have done a few autumn pictures in a walking distance from our house. I could make a small thread with them if anybody is interested. They are not on par with Indian Summer in Canada but still nice.

I understand that I can post fotos when I have a postcount of 10, right? Will start looking into the HOW TOs.

Picture threads are a great, we all like them. Australia, Thailand, UK or anywhere we like them all.
