About time I said hello.

I stumbled across TD some time ago, About the time Hillbilly started posting construction pics of the D and G resort. Fantastic stuff, and I watched his progress keenly. I have seen a few more threads lately and just am starting to search the forum.

I am a kiwi and been to BKK several times. My partner is Thai (met her in NZ) and we have 2 thai/kiwi kids.

Same here, went there 4 yrs ago with my family, that was the first return visit, for 30 yrs. It hadn't changed much.

I know what you mean...I've been saying I'm gonna leave for a long time. There are a few charms here but the winters are too long and.....
A line from Boondock saints just springs to mind " Cant go out for a packet of fags without running into 9 guys you've f*d."
The place is a bit on the small side.

I don't think I have fvcked one guy yet, but been a few close calls I must admit.

Christchurch is a nice place, I'm tossing around a few ideas on the best place to bring up my kids.

Same same....The Mrs likes NZ for the kids. I like the idea of having them in Thai school for a couple of years for language etc....

I used to get pissed on cheap booze in the Mess at Wigram, I probably ran into Klongy, that was before the internet

so I didn't know him.

Marmers: close...Wigram was flight training base so Harvards were the weapon of choice...

they taught night flying there and after I moved away took years to get a decent sleep without the sound of Harvards droning overhead...
