A little bit off topic AG but this forum does portray Pattaya in quite an unsavoury and sometimes unfair way IMO.

The majority of news reports posted are about Pattaya crime, as the forum owner lives here and sources most of his articles from the local media.

Yes, there are things going on here that I don't approve of but no different to nasty things that are going on in other places in Thailand and in fact around the world.

It is also a fact that most Bangkok farangs are historically very anti-Pattaya and regardless of whether they have had a bad experience here or not.

You go where the wind blows you but be as careful here in Thailand as you would be in your own country.
