hey,

i just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. i've been a member for a while, actually posted something a while back, but have been pretty much inactive for the past year (?) aside from swinging by to catch up on things from time to time. i realize it was a bit rude of me to just barge in asking questions before, but i found people's responses to my query to be quite helpful. anyhow, i figured i might as well go ahead and get the ball rolling on being an active participant in the forums. i do enjoy being able to read up on the important news of the day (naked men jumping from tall buildings, etc.) and hearing about the experiences of ex-pats who've chosen to make their home in thailand. thanks.

hey, sorry for my late reply. didn't subscribe to the thread or what have you and had no idea anyone had replied. oops. anyways, thanks for the green, obsidian.

as to the question of those garden pests, i didn't get to the tobacco mixture quickly enough. by the time i did, my pumpkin and cucumber vines were all but destroyed. it was a shame too because they were growing like mad. my gardening plan was changed... i basically planted as many seeds as i could find and that which survived... survived. i figured the more i planted, the better my chances of success. and then i want on vacation for about two weeks during december and killed most everything. oh well.

quick edit: i'm now in phuket. just got back from about a month overseas and am starting the daily grind once again.
