Flaming is the over-the-top, derogatory, insulting response to an innocent, if not naive, question -- you dumbass piece of shit.

    As an example, of course.

Have a nice day and welcome to Teak Door.

Greetings to you, Number one Dad and welcome to Teakdoor. Not too sure about the effects of the smoking ban, but if I light up in the market, the Mrs. hits me untill I put it out. It is possible that some clubs will fork out extra cash for the police to turn a blind eye, but don't quote me on that. Enjoy your stay.

Smoking ban only applies to aircon bars. Some enforce it, some not, at least so far.
    Welcome to TD.

The police went round all the gogos tuesday night and removed all ash trays, no smoking in the gogos, some air con bars are still allowing it, some aren't, open air bars shouldn't be a problem or it ain't where i live East of Sukhumvit road in Pattaya anyway, but then again we are a law unto ourselves over here!!

Jade short time bar is no smoking inside now luckily they have nice gardens, champions agogo or we are number one a gogo in Jomtien you can still smoke I think, maggie mays has no smoking signs up plus signs saying you can smoke, plus signs saying not to ask the staff whether you can smoke, that one sure got me confused but at the moment you can still smoke there, I think the police are just going to be issueing warnings for the first 60 days, then after that is fines time

i am from Dublin , Ireland and my friend is from leitrim and we will be in pattaya from 23rd or 24th of july, the following is just a rough itinerary because we only have the flights paid for at this stage

i am going to thailand for my second trip in july , staying about 17-18 days, i defy anyone who goes with an open mind not to return , the place is as good or great as you want it to be.

single parent , 40's and really looking forward to return trip , like a bit of comfort , stayed at rabbit resort last year but too expensive this year , actually loved the idea of being "on" the beach as opposed to crossing among traffic so i am looking for a decent place near rabbit , preferably , possibly will stay at avalon or baramie residence which is a bit further up.

staying at old reliable "NANA" in Bkk for 1st day then going to stay at areca lodge for couple of days, if weather is good we may go to Koh chang for 3-4 days also, and then return to jomtien beach for relaxing beach finish to holiday, all going well.

having said that, myself and my friend had all these great plans for touring last year and they went out the window as we were just too comfortable (and tired lol) to do anything but chill out and appreciate all that pattaya had to offer , so we (my friend 's in his 30's) just basically met lots of great girls and did lots of drinking .

it would be great if any of the newbies (or veterans) wanted to meet up for a beer and swap information when we are there because i genuinely believe we have just touched the tip of the iceberg with regards to enjoying pattaya
    cheers from DaD

Yeah, Pattaya sometimes seems to make your plans for you. There's a lot of great pictures in the TD gallery of wats and nature and stuff. If your plans get sidelined again, you can download them to a CD and show your friends back in Ireland what a lovely place Thailand is.

If you are one of the boys/gang here you can say what the hell you want. But if not you will be shit on and thrown out. Double Standards puts it mildly from what I have read here from all sorts of sods.

Well mystery, the only forum you seem to have been adding to is called the trash bin, maybe you should rethink the way you post?
