I am NEW to this Forum; hoping all goes well, both for now and in the future

Hi Folks,

I am new here.

I am still trying to figure out how this forum works.
For example, it took me two hours just to figure out how to upload my profile photo to my profile.
I am old, and so...figuring out things like this is no longer so easy for me.

My expectations for posting on this forum are that I might find a few good friends.

I am not new to Asia, but I am definitely new to posting on these types of forums.

These days, it seems to me, things are changing fast:
What was here yesterday is often not here today.

The reason I found this forum is that, at about 2:00 AM, while doing my laundry, I found this TD forum on my cell phone.

I look forward to posting a few useful and interesting comments, from time to time.
However, I do not expect to post too many comments, per month.

Basically, I think that I would prefer to just read others' comments, rather than post too many of my own, in most cases.

Also, I wonder about whether or not I can post videos from YouTube on this forum.

Does this forum permit posting music videos from YouTube, for example?

One of our cars are named 'Minty'.

I buy cars at Auction. I like the ones that have heaps of kids through them.

Messy as, guaranteed to have sparkles everywhere, chewing gum in the carpet etc.

Dealers hate them, but I've developed a knack and an aptitude to clean them.

As long as they are basically sound, and cheap, I buy if the price is right.

The second last car is called 'Steggy' ... it must have had 2 kids in it as it had a Pink Wand and a green plastic Stegosaurus ... and I sure as shite wasn't going to call it 'Wandy' ... so 'Steggy' it was.

The latest one had a packet of 2 year old Mint flavoured chewing gum ... I wasn't going to back (bacca) in the name "Chewy" so the Boys declared it to be named 'Minty' ... so “God bless Minty, and all who sail in her”.

I never thought, for a moment, the connotations that humble naming would have relevance on this Forum.

Have I digressed?

When, each time, I attempt to post a comment elsewhere...
Then...
I must wait a long time before I finally see my comment appear.

I ain't complaining.

However, the time lag makes things a bit cumbersome.

Is this sort of an initiation rite?
Sort of like joining a fraternity to become a GREEK, or something?

Or, why does one need to wait ages before seeing one's post published and "viewable" on the Topic Thread?

Seems sort of counterproductive because...then...what is the point of posting?

Most, if not ALL, of my comments seem both lucid and to the point.

Also, not one of my comments could be construed as being offensive in any way.

b. I thought this forum might be the WINNER for me.

c. IF you wish to read more of my great comments, including my thoughts about the Scottish accent, and much more about my LOVE for Celtic music, not MUZAK, then you should let me in to this forum with NO RESERVATIIONS.....!

d. I am a LOVER of so many things Scottish. I am a HUGE fan of intelligent Scottish people...you don't even know.

e. It seems to me that there are many Scottish people here.

f. I have lived MANY years in HK. And, as we all know, after reading James Clavell, it was the Scotts that improved HK...SO MUCH!

g. Also... I have many friends from Scotland. I kid you NOT.
