I bought a couple of baby teak trees, they were 5 Baht each at the market. Once they take off they grow tall very quickly, about 2 or 3 metres per year in their early years. The neigbours tutted a bit, they said that teak trees are fine in a forest but vulnerable to being blown over if planted individually. If I had a plot the size of yours then I'd be tempted to plant maybe 20 together. Locally, commercially, they plant at about 3 metre spacing. so 20 trees in a grid would only cover about 10x12m.
