You may have more luck over on the unmentionable Thai forum? There is even a mushroom farming thread.

Good luck if you intend to take up farming them. Many got their fingers burned about 5 year back when over production became their downfall.

    Try here https://teakdoor.com/farming-and-gard...m-farming.html (Mushroom Farming)

    Welcome!!

When I said "I guess not" I was referring to the fact that there seems there is not a thread on mushroom farming.

It was almost 8pm when Sharpie Cyrille made his inane post. I am guessing he was suffering a Changover and is excused.

The profitability, or not, of mushroom farming was without my query.

As well as the link I posted there are other threads about mushroom farming in TD archives. Just a case of doing a search. Good look. Pun intended.

put 'mushroom farming' in the 'search' box then, since I clearly need to spell it out for you.

there you will find several threads on the topic.

as for 'sharpness', well, it's all relative.

Yeah....there are a few mushroom-related threads in the Gardening & Farming forum.

    Hope they're helpful.

So you had the choice to make one of your typical pointless tedious posts or be helpful to a newbie and link to a mushroom thread, hardly surprising which option you chose.

So, have you worked out how when you want to search for a thread on a topic you enter the key words into the..umm... 'search' box yet then, Einstein?

It's just above and to the right of the words 'An Expat's Diary'.

    Marked, y'know...SEARCH.

Sybil is just a boring old twat with a life so empty that the only way he can try to fill it is to make countless irrelevant pointless posts that are of no interest to anyone. Maybe he will take up knitting or crochet to fill the huge void in his life.

Mex, if your willing to absorb yourself in Facebook, there are tonnes of local Thai resources regarding mushroom [of every variety] production - groups, pages, etc.

More interesting are the seasonal forest gatherers that forage the most delectable fungi - just by sight and experience.

My posts will have been helpful to him as if he couldn't work it out for himself he will now realise what a pathetic waste of space you are as in a sad old man with nothing better to do than make countless pointless posts that are of no use to anyone. Maybe you should have a serious think about suicide.

I pointed out the search function.

You're a waste of space and being an arsehole as per.

Bye now... that was your attention from me for the week.

Keep it up posting about how 'pointless' my comments are for another seven days, following me around the forum like the dumb little bitch you are and maybe you'll get lucky again.

We can both rest assured that no irony will strike you whatsoever.

Your first post on this thread was pointing out the search function was it? Post 5 on the thread. Pathetic doesn't even come close to describing you.

Careful with buying local jungle mushrooms, some in fact will make you sick or dead.
Just because grandad with cataracts, says they are OK, doesn't mean there safe.
Locals have also built up a tolerance to some types, found out from experience, so I, kids don't eat wild mushrooms at all.

OP, if you are interested in growing mushrooms for profit, look up Issanaussie and milky mushrooms.
Also there is a Thai guy, can't remember his name, that does farm stays teaching mushroom growing.

I must be one of these tolerant types, as I've taken wild foraged shrooms for years without ill side effects, as most locals are likely to be.

    PackDee, from memory.

I went to his Farm years ago when there was a Farmers meeting there.

Nice guy, warm host, good set-up ... Have some photos somewhere, will try and chase them down.

    Thanks Guys for your input.

Wifey Dearest and I have been farming mushrooms for a year now.

I was looking for a thread with current producers to share info.

I did do a search prior but put a time parameter on the search and only came up with the Milky one.

Thanks to Cryille I now know how to do a proper search!!

    Friendly fellow...
