Hello all,

.....death is peaceful. It's the interval between that's troublesome. I only know two things for sure for sure.

1. I am here now.

2. I'm going to die.

Any advice for me re: May/ december relationship with thai lady i met in Pattya (not bar girl). In two trips and 5 1/2 mths in the Kingdom I met her for a few afternoon trysts my last week in Pattya April 2007.
She was sitting on the beach walk near the fountain.
We seemed to click and she's only lady I wanted to see more that once. I never let her stay overnight. She is 27 to my 60.

I opened a bank acct and sent her ATM card. She claimed she wanted school uniform for her 7 yo daughter living with mother in Sakon Nakon.

She also asked for 5000 baht to help family attempt to start rubber farm.
One day in Pattya I changed money and dropped 1000 baht. She showed it to me during my transaction and I did not realize it was mine. Later at dinner she held it out to me again and I finally realized it was my money. She gave me a very puzzled look.
I'm just an old farang (60) looking for a little comfort, but heard lots of horror stories.
Since opening account she has not asked for more money and tells me she has started working as housekeeper in Pattya. Her english is getting better.
She has now told me she has gone back home to help mother with the rubber farm and look after her 7 yo daughter. Her town is 27 km from Sakon Nakon so she tells me she has touble getting to computer for e-mails.
I did some research and learnt that rubber and palm oil farming is getting new attention with the oil prices so high. I am thinking of going to NW and NE thailand this Dec as I've never been up there.
I am getting the feeling she is a 'good' girl but had to get some money for family and went looking for work in BKK and Pattya but hasn't had a good time with it. She was living in small room with a girl friend (same age from home town) and an older lady who has been there for awhile. The room had one king bed and couch with good tv, cd and a/c and closet with lots of clothes. Her girl friend admits to having an Aussie boyfriend age 39.
So am I being sucked into a honey pot or just getting carried away with a thai fantasy.
I have not put any more money into her account but intend to send some small gifts for her daughter and keep up the correspondance by snail mail. We do not phone.

I've read this story before somewhere else in the last couple of days, anyway up to you, you want a relationship with a Thai woman then you have to pay, ie support them, most will never get the chance to earn the sort of money a farang can in a first world country.
