A smelt is a osmeriforme marine fish . It is between 7 and 15 cm. Its diet consists of small crustaceans and larger can feed on small fish. He lives at sea and sometimes goes estuaries. Formerly much fished for its fine fragrance and delicate flesh, the fishery is now highly regulated.
Recognizes two species Osmerus mordax in North America and Europe Osmerus eperlanus. It is a fish that goes rivers to spawn. In America, it is found from Labrador to Virginia, in the Gulf of St. Lawrence to the Great Lakes. In Europe, seen from the Seine and the English Channel to the North Sea and Baltic Sea, and discontinuity, Iceland, Greenland and Spitsbergen.
    Osmerus

I had a four week love affair in Thailand with a guy from Mont Tremblant. Must say, being a French speaker myself, i found the Quebecois quite difficult to understand.

He never even e mailed me afterwards...

If you plan to come for vacation in Quebec during winter time, don't forget to pass one night in the Hotel de glace. All made of snow and ice
