Just thought I'd say Hi. I'm not a paki spammer as some dog thought. I am a poor speller and admittedly I'll stand corrected again I'm sure. I do vacation in Laos as my wife's family lives there. I had a house built there on her moms farm. It's not 100% finished but very livable. It's my avatar and has river frontage in front and a creek in back. Trying to get posts up so I can post pics of the build.

Wow, Thanks fellas. I posted that last night and didn't think I would get much of a reply. I stumbled onto teak door at work one long dull night a while ago. BLD had just posted a mining thread and I've been hooked ever since. As for the house, I was not on sight for the brunt of the build. It all came about some time after a visit to her mom in '06. The lay of the land has great views and the cost seemed minimal compared to what I'm used to. I simply just had to pay as they went, so to speak. I had to learn a new degree of "trust" during the process. All I needed was a sit down crapper, sink and shower and of course a decent foot print. And above all no electrical work until I was on sight. They made due with a temporary breaker box ect until I was there. Now to learn to post pics.
