    Draft proofing

    Hi there,
I wish to install aircon in my bedroom but have open floor boards. I came across a great floorboard gap filler called Stopgap but it is only available in UK. Does anyone know of a simple inexpensive method of sealing the gaps without the use of a floorcovering.
    Ideas most welcome

You could probably achieve a similar result with masking tape. Come in different widths depending on the thickness or your floor. The key would be to make a tool to limit the depth then simply install sticky side out. Not perfect but.

Next thing is you'll need a vacuum cleaner to get all the furries out of the trench you created.
Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?

    Duct tape. Cures all probs.

If the floor has gaps, would suspect the walls and ceilings will be needing some help as well.

Expanding foam and trim off the excess once dry.

sand down a piece of similar wood, (sander with bag is best), mix the dust with PVA glue and fill the gaps, sand down when dry, if necessary, and it will look exactly like the original boards.

Can you crawl under the house and staple some kind of vapor barrier (heavy plastic sheeting, maybe) to the bottom of the floorboards? There might be snakes under there, though.
