Hi Minnie, things are starting to get back to normal for most but there are still many thousands of pour souls still affected by the floods. They expect it will take another 20 days for all of the water to drain away.
Hope to see you posting here and welcome to the forum.

Thank you for the welcome and newsbite, Mr Loytoy.Yesterday, I saw a news clip with a lady wading through water in BKK. Too long to bear.
Welcome Minnie
I live in Suphanburi and there has been little flooding here probably due to the good work of K. Banharn - a former PM of Thailand.![]()
Another fukin dense and narrow minded American dishing out reds because people write opinions you don't agree with... Idiots like you give the good American chaps and chapesses a bad name...
You may prefer it at Thaivisa - it's a much better forum this one; off you go...
^ Who you on about anyways ?
I think that this is Jets multi...
The avatar says enough by itself really (most would presume it's ironic, but it isn't in this case - it's a badge of pride); have a look at the OPs posts, they're like BMs...Originally Posted by superman

Ask the OP:
1) Is Fox news an honest and unbiased news provided.
2) Are all other media outlets communist loving poofs, and their readers should be shot as unpatriotic fools.
I suspect the OP would answer a big "YES" to both of these questions...
Cycling should be banned!!!
So it is BM muti then? I still think that it is jet.
^ it could be jet, not BM...
I don't mind BM, if you take all American politics out of the equation then he can post some good stuff.![]()
I was thinking BM also.
Robert E. Lee and a rebel flag is a bit much for a real Southern woman to have as an av. And come in chatting about football? Naw. Unless it's a parody....
^ He was talking about needing more "white rednecks" on this foum.
Thanks, Old Git. Dunno why the fluff is flying. Jet as in stream or the F22A Raptor? Pls enlighten me.
FYI, General Robert E Lee was a fine statesman and gentleman. It was only his loyalty to his home state of Virginia that made him decline leading the Union (at Abe's request) for the Confederacy. A much better man than Abe or that wus Grant. And, no, the war did not start over the issue of slavery.

hi minnie
Whoever 'Minnie' is she is a welcome relief from the stultifying liberal/progressive dreck that infests this fine forum!![]()

Mississippi declaration of secession:
Declaration of the Immediate Causes which Induce and Justify the Secession of the State of Mississippi from the Federal Union.
In the momentous step which our State has taken of dissolving its connection with the government of which we so long formed a part, it is but just that we should declare the prominent reasons which have induced our course.
Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery-- the greatest material interest of the world. Its labor supplies the product which constitutes by far the largest and most important portions of commerce of the earth. These products are peculiar to the climate verging on the tropical regions, and by an imperious law of nature, none but the black race can bear exposure to the tropical sun. These products have become necessities of the world, and a blow at slavery is a blow at commerce and civilization. That blow has been long aimed at the institution, and was at the point of reaching its consummation. There was no choice left us but submission to the mandates of abolition, or a dissolution of the Union, whose principles had been subverted to work out our ruin.
From the Texas declaration:
We hold as undeniable truths that the governments of the various States, and of the confederacy itself, were established exclusively by the white race, for themselves and their posterity; that the African race had no agency in their establishment; that they were rightfully held and regarded as an inferior and dependent race, and in that condition only could their existence in this country be rendered beneficial or tolerable.
That in this free government *all white men are and of right ought to be entitled to equal civil and political rights* [emphasis in the original]; that the servitude of the African race, as existing in these States, is mutually beneficial to both bond and free, and is abundantly authorized and justified by the experience of mankind, and the revealed will of the Almighty Creator, as recognized by all Christian nations; while the destruction of the existing relations between the two races, as advocated by our sectional enemies, would bring inevitable calamities upon both and desolation upon the fifteen slave-holding states.
South Carolina:
The General Government, as the common agent, passed laws to carry into effect these stipulations of the States. For many years these laws were executed. But an increasing hostility on the part of the non-slaveholding States to the institution of slavery, has led to a disregard of their obligations, and the laws of the General Government have ceased to effect the objects of the Constitution. The States of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa, have enacted laws which either nullify the Acts of Congress or render useless any attempt to execute them.

MM or Jet or whoever you are, you're not just a buffoon, like all neo-Confederates you're a racist buffoon.

Oh dear not off to a good start Minnie ,,,,,,,,, you are awfull but I like you welcome once again.
BTW I like the look of your cooking masterchef indeed !
To, Robuzo: In regards to your declarations of secession, it is interesting that you cherry-picked your quotes. Yes, slavery was important for the South's workforce as they were dependent on agriculture, cotton to be precise, and the invention of the cotton gin led to an increase in output. The north's economy was focused on industrial work largely in cities (where workers were given poverty wages, lived in slums and were largely treated worse than slaves). If you remember correctly, there was great friction over federal govt power vs the states and the north slapping embargoes on the South's shipping.
Think as you will, economic concerns, federal govt encroachment and most importantly the election of Abe were the causes of secession and the war. Lincoln did not handle it well.
^So how was that cherry picking? Four excellent examples. Where are your examples to support your view?

Oh, right, the "states rights" argument. . .hmmm, let's see:
"The States of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa, have enacted laws which either nullify the Acts of Congress. . ."
So, the Confederacy was upset about Congress infringing on the rights of states, but South Carolina complains that the northern states "nullify the Acts of Congress."
Demonstrating again that you are a moron. No further discussion necessary. You can whine about states rights all you want, basically you're a racist dirtbag.
