Is it hard to get a used Harley Davidson like a Fat Boy, in Thailand, and are they expensive.

Not if you have a few million baht to spend.
Note to self -
1. Never buy a Harley in Thailand.
2. Never buy a BMW or Mercedes in Thailand.
3. Never buy a house in Thailand.

Depends on your basis for comparison- they're about 3x-4x more expensive than they'd be in the US- for Thailand, the prices seem about right.
worth next to nothing in the US, Australia and Thailand arent to far apart on what you will pay for a 10 year old bike.Originally Posted by FailSafe
A few nice Harley's for sale, I didnt think they would be cheap, they are about the same $$ as in Australia, maybe a little less.
Harleys are ok when it comes to reliability since they introduced the Evo's, and better electronics, so that does'nt worry me.
Thank's for the reply's. Maurie
Why would you want one?
Petrol stations are too far apart for a Davidson on the best roads for riding in The Kingdom.
Good Bike to ride in Pats or pukit.
What price can you put on looking gay?
It was suggested on another forum (no not TV) that a basic Harley might actually be the perfect bike for Thailand, with some roads up north not being perfect.
An emotive subject but...

No offence to some replys, but l have to agree with Rigger.
For the record, most of the roads l have been on are better than those in Australia, there are are plenty of fuel stops, even off the main roads and while l think of it, im'e not gay.
I look at it this way, l have had Jap sports bikes a plenty, there are Jap Harley look alikes that yes, might well be better, but for my next bike, l would like it to be a Harley, a real HARLEY DAVIDSON.
Bike week here in Kaeners this sat.![]()
Rigger, Where is your Harley?
What's your budget?Originally Posted by Mozzbie47
All I owned back home were Harley Davidson bikes. If they were reasonably priced in Thailand I would get a Fatboy. I could afford one, but I am not going to pay 2 or 3 times what I would pay back home. Plus I would think service on a Harley would be substandard. I know they have the Harley shop in BKK and Chiangmai, but is that all?
The wife wants a Mini Cooper as well. If I get her one, it will be back in the US. I am not paying more for a Mini Cooper in Thailand than I would pay for a Mercedes 500 back home. When I was back in the US I saw some good condition used Mini's for cheap.
Harley's are fooking garbage and made like a Ford escort.
Only a wanna be chump would drive around on a Harley , playing the role.
The only decent Harley was the XLCR.. if I could afford one of those I'd ride it
Harley dropped the ball with that one though...
The AMF Harleys were mass produced crap and the current models look like their made of plastic. The 50's models where the best, but who want's the trouble associated with a vintage? And.. they do have a big association with middle aged gays, so unless you really are a biker, grease, hair, tats and all, what image are you trying to put across ?
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"
Get a Victory tell the Customs agent it is a Chinese spin-off
