When you dropping the pickup off at the tuners for the stage 3 mods?
Will you lower the pickup with the suspension mods?
Dont know when I will do the next step and no I am leaving it the same hight do to keeping the car useable
Just seen a black Vigo with jacked up suspension and big fat knobbly tyres.
Look quite good.
Might do that, if I can convince the GF to swap the Civic for the truck.
Rigger, Ive just had a customers car come back in for a new windscreen (Ford Ranger), its had a semi decent looking coil spring and disc brake conversion done on the rear of it (OEM is leaf springs/drums), im told it handles real well, you want me to find out who did the conversion, maybe they do one for the Chebby's as well.
The Meth One's Fuck The Best !!
Ive got a black pickup,a 98 toyota tacoma with a 2.4 petrol donk and auto-gutless as fuck.
Any easy power improvements available in thailand?
ok going to the next level. large turbo quick spool header larger intercooler. around 275 hp.
i have choice in turbos. one will give me 240hp with no lag and the other 275hp with a little lag. being a non car type person which will be better
You will get a little lag from most turbos of this type depending how they are set-up.Originally Posted by Rigger
I'd go for the bigger turbo as higher in the rev range you'll have more power.
Make sure the boost is adjustable if at all possible then you can change the settings to affect lag if you don't like it. Then you get the best of both worlds and the ability to adjust where in the rev range the turbo is kicking in.
^What he said. Some turbos are very noisy. Better check that out too.
ok spoke with philp and yes the 275 turbo will work with my current manual boost control set up and is a water cooled roller bearing set up.
Nah I think new shocks will do the trick but Thanks.Originally Posted by Fondles
This is a what I will be putting on when I get back, I have about 70K into the engine already so with this lot about 170K
Turbocharger with modifidy housing for better power down low and less lag
Quick spool headers
Fujibutso muffler with 3" system ( which I will have to get made up)
Intercooler vr4
The silicone hose and clamps with aliminium intercooler pipes for aftermarket turbo
Intake aliminium with K&N racing filter cone style, used in supercar thailand diesel circuit trucks

How much power you will have? 275bhp?
What is the most horsepower can be had from the Colorado's engine?

I have seen 300 hp 2.5 colorado street trucks in the thai mag.
Heres a few figures from Monster proformance bangkok
Monster Performance Industries
• 312hp/661nm of torque Mitsubishi Triton 3.2(4m41) automatic-world recorded holder.
• 330hp/700nm of torque Mitsubishi Triton 3.2 (4m41) manual-world recorded holder.
• 317hp/650nm of torque Toyota Hilux 3L (1kd)
• 303hp/640nm of torque Chevrolet Colorado 3L
• 330hp/620nm of torque Toyota Hilux 3L (1kd)-automatic
Impressive numbers.
With that much torque. Getting it all onto the tarmac without losing traction not going to be easy...
Should be no problem overtaking Nawty.
Yeh one of the mechanics was on about getting a diff locker off a 4x4 and the next set of tyres will be a little wider, I just have to wait as the wife dont like me having fun and spending money I dont want it to look to race ready and keep it as a sleeper for blowing away smart asses in there sports cars.Originally Posted by Travelmate
There was a 4 disc brake system and a drop ali fuel tank I could have put in but no need to go to over board for a street truck
Upgrading the brakes is a wise move.Originally Posted by Rigger
Yes but I had to choose between the suspention upgrade or the brake as money dont grow on trees you know, With these mods done I will have 296,000 baht spent on the truck since I drove it out from the dealer
