If you are after cruising bikes then there is a small shop on Soi Wat Nam Daeng southern end of the Srinakarin road heading towards Samut Prakarn its the first left turn after Foodland and just under the bridge.

The shop is located a good 1Km down the soi and on your left.

I have three friends who have bought bikes here and they all seem to have a good word for the Thai guy.

I know he has a standard and a chopped dragster in stock and 4 shadows

The chopped dragster is the 1100cc model

The prices there are reasonable at about 120,000 for a standard shadow 400 to 130,000 to 140,000 for the 600 including the green book

I'm new to this forum as of about 10 minutes ago, and new to Thailand as of 5 mo's ago. I bought a very sharp looking Honda Steed 400cc w/ springer front end. I did not take the book papers because they wanted another 20K. Now I see you talk about "copy book" . How much, and wherew can I get one. Does it include the metal license plate..?

Me again. The new guy with the 400cc Steed. In the U.S. I had a 750 Shadow, a H-D 1200 XLC Sportster and finally a 2006 H-D Road Glide with a "stage II" upgrade that gave it 96 hp at 1640cc's. Now that I own a 400cc cruiser, I wonder why I felt I needed all that power in my U.S. bikes. You don't need it fi your cruising between 80 and 100km. And my 400 will beat most anything coming off a traffic light. So why pay 200 to 300K or more..? Just aint that much difference in power IMHO..!!!

Maybe its just your HD back ground that makes you think there aint that much difference in power. Saying that the 400 steed is a great little bike to putt around on, my wife loves her's

Agree the Steed is a great little girls bike, or for someone that wants to cruise around at less than 100 Kph.
Your probably right, when you have a modified 1640 cc bike, which puts out a whole 96 Hp.
You would think anything that can drag its arse off the line into a sub 25 sec quarter is fast.

Understandable if you have just come from a HD. I would retract the above quote if I were you. A Steed 400 woudn't be able to pull a skin off a rice pudding!
