Ford dealers in Bkk. Best buy???

We're looking to buy a Ford Ranger. Have tried locally and they don't seem interested in haggling, They only promise free(?) extras(?) as a come on. Wife phoned some dealer in BKK and they offered extras free(?) plus 90,000 Baht off the asking price. Would they be genuine at that discount as I'd be a bit pissed off in travelling 350 km if it weren't ?

I've found that the dealers are far more interested in people buying a car on credit. If you wanna pay cash they don't make anywhere near as much out of you and won't be interested giving you anything which they could take back with the other hand such as when you're buying on the never never.

For a 90k discount, i'd imagine you are not buying the Raptor but buying last years model. Is there a newer Ranger just coming out?

I see the Ranger got a facelift around July '18.

I'd check if that 90k discount is on a pre-facelift model before driving down Prag..

When we bought our car we picked exactly what we wanted spec wise and then I got my PA to phone all the show rooms in the area to get the prices / freebies. When she had done that I told her to call them all back with details of the best offer to see if they would beat it, which they all did. Took the best back to the first who again beat that. Bought from that one. Saved about 12% on list price and had a load of extras chucked in as well including 2 years insurance. Spend a day fishing and you'll get some.

We got fuck all when saying paying cash though. When we said 40% deposit and loan, the offers came streaming in. We paid off the loan in the cooling off period with no charges so got the savings with a cash purchase. This was in 2014.
