    Why am I stalling?

Got one of these Yamaha chicken chasers, a rev and go which is in reasonably good nick. Anyway, I normally roll down the hill, with the ignition on, to save gas and when I start to slow to a halt I just rev and off I go.

To start the bike you need to squeeze the brake lever and rev after switching on the ignition - anyway, since filling my tank earlier it keeps stalling if I am not revving.

    Why is this?

When crossing the road to the gas station my stand was down and hit the road but that shouldn't fuck anything up.

Shitty gasoline, wrong gasoline type, or a worn out spark plug.

^^ Ok, here's an update... It is still the same - I regret putting 40 baht of gasoline in the tank, maybe it was too much.

The tyres are also feeling a bit soft and the wing mirror swings loose and a barracuda nearly nipped my anteater.

Aah, that one. I use to push it away so it doesn't interfere with my thumb.

Hmm, maybe crap gasoline - it was an old station in the middle of nowhere like on Route 666 only not.

Should I move the choke switch left - away from the bikr or right - toward the bike?

Start the bike, in neutral if it's not an auto. Move the choke, you should be able to tell by the engine noise which is the healthiest position, the bad position usually makes a putt-putt-putt type noise and you might get a nasty smell of gasoline. On my bike the correct position is to the left.

If I put the choke to the right I get the same thing you do, stalling if I'm not revving the bike. Did you check what type of gas you got?, most small bikes will take either 91 or 95 but aren't too happy about mixing them.

^ I think i mixed, annoyingly there's no gears on this thing, just a foot platform - it was only 150 a day though.

It's a rental? Then who the hell cares! Thrash the hell out it and return it, extra points for excessive tyre wear.

Probably P.Sa's (just up from Airport Plaza, heading back to the moat) I'd think.

As well as new he also has a line of 2nd-hand tyres. Far from ideal but most certainly better than that accident-in-waiting you have on there now.
