no guesses 1,2,3?
Another old one, easy
And possibly one of the earliest 'policeman pointing' photos
Car accident, approx 1950, Sukhumvit, Chonburi, Thailand

My uncle had one. Buick.
lovely car, it's a 1949 model,
nerd alert .....
......indicators on chrome strips on the wings make it a 1949.
Pattaya motorcycle-based UFO, from Thairath
I recently visited my elderly mother in the UK and we went through a few old photos.
I appreciate that this isn't strictly a car, but I hope it's in the spirit of the thread. This was a picture of my dad taken around early to mid 1950s... I had no idea he ever even owned or rode a scooter. Apparently he rode it between Plymouth and Manchester a few times... amazing the questions you have once it's too late...
^ On the back of the photo was written,
'Peter on his TWN scooter'
I had no idea...
^ That's a good match!
It's really weird finding out stuff about your parents that you had no idea about. My dad wasn't one for small talk.
I'm sure I'm not the first in wishing I'd made more effort in years gone by.
^ Why bring this stuff into a nice, family thread?
I have no northern blood.
Its a car thread not a family thread...And I thought you had an aversion to folk on 2 wheels
^ Did you see my dad wearing Lycra or a silly helmet with a GoPro camera?
Must say he does look rather debonair.
I guess in 20 or so years, your prodigy will also look back at these old photos and compare the classy photo of your father above to one of you sat on a pink Scoopy in Jesus sandals, songkran shirt and see thru moisture wicking underwear, in amazement.
^ I can but hope.
Overtaken by the car transporter on today's cycle ride, then saw it stopped.
Looks to have had a few baht spent on restoration
That the one Mario Maurer was posed against for the recent 77million baht car book scam ?
^ Nothing but the best for my old man!
Just wisj he had told me about it.
Driving a german scooter so early after the war, probably wasn't something to brag about.
What's wrong with the noblesse of the Coventry models ?
Yes, they didn't do girlie scooters, but manly motorcycles (except for the ..SpeedGayTwin)
That TWN would be worth a penny or two these days
And maybe more in Korat and suburbs
A bloke from Stoke born after the only thing it was famous for died out 150 years before he was born and spent most of his life on the dole taking the piss out of a southerner who's worked for a living, got to love you northern Minkies
It's neither Mod nor Rocker, somewhere inbetween.
Maybe he was checking out the Northern Soul scene at the Twisted Wheel in Manchester, who knows.
Bristol had and still has a large Mod scene.
Strange breed those west country lot
The Prawnograph pic looks like a Skoda 100--1970
