    Tyre inflators

Knowing that Thai quality is usually shite I bought a tyre inlator from the UK. It was a Ring Automotive RAC600 12V Automatic Digital Air Compressor and came recommended by 'What Car' magazine.
It was completely useless at inflating tyres, but great for the kids birthday balloons. It packed in after about 8-9 times of using.
My question is, are there any decent models in Thailand that can be recommended ?

    I bought a Puma OL-1204 pancake compressor
    Very pleased with it.
It's 240V so maybe not what you are looking for but suits my needs

Not fun when stuff doesn't work as advertised but this made me smile.

Knowing everything Thai is crap, read made in China, the OP buys something in the UK which is also made in China and then is disappointed when it fails.

I accept that it may well have been made in China, but in the UK anything sold has to be fit for it's purpose and the item carried British Standards - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. So I assumed 'quality controlled'.

You can find cheap (Chinese-made) compressors in HomePro- they last quite a while and will take a lot of abuse- every shitty little motorbike repair shop has one, and they sure aren't buying a new one every month.

Nothing at all wrong with them .

Inflating the tyres the easy part.

Fixing the puncture/leak is the bastard road side.

Always happens in the rain too .

Assumed and quality control don't go well together.

The product has to be fit for the purposes it was designed for in the UK and Aus but that doesn't necessarily mean it was made to a higher standard. It means you are entitled to a replacement or your money back.

In Asia it would generally mean bad luck sucker.

If you can find a cheapie that still pushes out air when you block the outlet, buy it.

If it lasts 6 months you've had a win.

That's why I was seeking advice. Failing forthcoming recommendations, it'll have to be pot luck.
