if you think Bali is geared toward Australians and is a bit cringey you would be correct

I enjoyed my time in Perth mate but four years was enough. I remember talking a mate's dog for walk one day, was it Cottesloe Beach I think... and wasn't even allowed to take the dog on the beach.

I think I would struggle to live there again after so long in Thailand... but who knows.

If you've never left Perth then you probably consider perth to be OK. But for me it's just a place to get the nippers schooled up. And there doing well . But for me having started the travel early at 18 and seen many countries and cultures I can honestly say that Aussies haven't got a fucki ng clue sadly. It's only me and her struggling to adapt. Kids are fine.

we were getting a pretty good exchange rate for the aussie dollar though. Things didnt seem all that cheap to me but definately cheaper than oz for a lot of things.

to be honest not a lot had changed in bali since my last visit , the Folks are real sweet but i probably wont rush back there, it wasnt all that expensive but wasnt all that cheap if you know what i mean, we didnt do much besides eat and drink and swim in the pool but i thoroughly enjoyed swirling bintangs or san migs around sunset on the beach

Thing is everywhere is more touristy and expensive than years ago when we had our first trips to whereever. We always measureagainst those first times, just have to accept places for what they are now. I find if you can go out of season and where the locals go you can still find quieter spots and relax.

yeah your right, i didnt really enjoy Laos this time either, best leave it as a good memory, going out of season is a bit hard for me logistics wise now with kids. used to actually enjoy the wet season in asia

The past is a foreign country, they do things differently, and no one can get a visa to go there.

Yep, those beach bars do just nicely for a sundowners session.
