Nope, just got another 3 months of beer delivered.
^Suure. lol
July is a hard month for me to not drink as it is the best summer month. However, I haven't drank since last weekend (with a huge hangover), but have decided to not drink anymore as before last weekend I hadn't had a drink in like three months.
^Ya, I find hangovers worse as we get older too. I now drink the odd vodka with flavored water..... no sugar, no carbs. Win Win!
God, no.
What a ridiculous notion.
...never had a drinking problem...in fact, I usually have to set my alarm for cocktail hour...
If I was going to do it properly I should have had a right bender the night before... suppose I still have an hour
...I've never understood the point of a bender: drinking until you're incapacitated seems to defeat the purpose...
No chance, I just spent 3 months in Thailand under lockdown with crappy wine at expensive prices.
I'm doing red wines from region to region from France, Italy and Spain as well as whites from France, Italy and Germany before I even think of giving alcohol a rest.
...and then there's G&Ts and Pimm's and Martini and ...
...digestivos, how I miss them after a good meal.
...and Cognac to end the evening or a good Grappa.
Too many things to enjoy and I ain't missing them in July!
It's almost like admitting alcohol is a valid stress reducer and social necessity during troubled times. The annual campaign, where Kiwis give up alcohol for the month of July, has been reimagined for 2020 in a direct nod to the increased stress New Zealanders are going through with the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Dry July NZ Trust is now asking participants to give up alcohol for an amount of time that suits them and has renamed the campaign Dry(ish) July.
It is Canada Day tomorrow, so although technically it is July 1st.. I will start on July 2nd.
Like all other major events, Dry July will be canceled this year.
Willy,You got trembles yet.
A man who drinks like you, should never just stop,it can cause a stroke.
