    Log in your workouts today!

I thought since it is the new year and people are talking about getting in shape and such. Why not have a thread where we can keep each other accountable to workout at least 3 times a week... that's my goal at the moment.

I'm off in an hour or so to do 30 minutes interval training on the treadmill. That's my day done and dusted at the gym. What did you do today?

Yes, miles. I was fairly fit at the time. I couldn't do it now without walking some of it. It was 6 years ago so I can't remember the exact time it took but it would probably be at about 7m30s per mile pace so probably about 70 minutes. I'll see if I can find my old running log to see what it really was.

Edit: I see from this thread that 2 days after that earlier post, I posted that I ran 7 miles in 54 minutes, which is about 7m42s per mile. At that pace, my 10.9 mile run would be about 72m 22s.

Usual 2 mile work-out on the cross trainer at 5:30a.m before work. It has become an addition to the day since diabetes set in at the end of last year.

Hated it to start with but starting to enjoy it now. I broke 16½ minutes today, which isn't bad considering I started with 15 minute mile walking pace only 2 months ago.

I see that, Bollock Face, and raise:

10 bottles of Corona in the early hours, a large packet of Lays (Mege pack - the biggest pack ever...), a hot chocolate with double cream instead of milk and oodles of squirty cream on top, a mars bar, loads of pasta with tinned meat type sauce, half a box of After Eights, a cheesecake mix (blueberry!) and just this second finished off a tin of Ambrosia Rice Pudding Light.

I had a Google Hangouts call with the missus today, she called me a fat pig (owen moo, owen mak mak) and told me not to bother coming back home until I lost some weight. So there's a result!

Gym 3 times a week working on the various areas. Low weight, high rep count. Bicycle ride at least once a week, 10 - 15 miles. Eat right, small portions.

This allows me my Friday night drink extravaganza which could last until Sunday or whenever I run out of booze.....

    rest day saturday

did 20 km yesterday morning...i'll do 8km tomorrow evening and every other day til next saturday i expect

i just watched a documentary called running the sahara narrated by matt damon

3 endurance runners ran all the way across the sahara in about 100 days doing about near enough 2 marathon distances a day
one of them was an elite taiwanese marathon runner with a PB of 2 hours 20 minutes, another was a fairly ordinary bloke who only took up running two years before the challenge

they did one stint of 160 km without a break

    fukking insanity

I went for a brisk walk down to the Lake today, to drop off my empty wine bottles (not in the lake, but in a container beside the police station). And then another brisk walk to the wine shop.

Brisk as in i almost ran because it was freezing out there. Oh, and i fed some swans bread.
