SRIRACHA Chili sauce, quite good !

Found a Chili sauce on a table the other day visiting a Manila Vietnamese Restaurant...

Sri Racha Chili sauce, not really sounding Vietnamese.

On the way back home went to shopping center, Waltermart that are very common over here and found it on the shelve, addict already, great stuff !

Well it contains sugar, corn starch and few E stuff, but the taste and strenght is great and the dispensing bottle is big and working very well, i guess they are up for big success with this sauce. Never seen that before...

Not seen it in Thailand as so many fresh chili were available on any table...

Once abroad, this is good stuff ! 120 Php here, so about 90 Thb

We always had the orange stuff in Thailand for Chili sauce, this Sri Racha, reddish is way better !

They also bottle the stuff in California. It is available in the US at many markets and on the table in some oriental restaurants. The wife won't eat her noodle soup without it.

It is very good, and not to sweet to my taste like several thai chilli sauces. Sri Racha is only about 30km from Pattaya, heading towards Bk.

If you have ever been to a good street side old fashioned Thai restaurant and had and omelette or the Thai stuffed omelette kai yodsai you would have been served sauce sri racha. It is how I discovered it a long time ago. Its to Thai Thai hot sauce as Heinz ketchup is to Americans.

    The kind!!!!

Up in Issan there is an orange sauce on all tables, to sweet and not strong, that was a great discovert for me...
And it seems to be available quite well world wide, nice...

Not healthiest stuff around but TASTY...
