    Mos Burger Really Sucks!

So, my wife and I stopped at Mos Burger for a bite to eat at the new Terminal 21 Mall on Sukhumvit. I ordered a spicy chili dog. The chili dog arrived, looked a little bare, so I asked the waitress for some raw onions. Overhearing my request, the manager, told me nastily that the spicy chili dog did not come with onions and I could not have them. Incredulous at his refusal, I told him he was nuts and I explained to him that I could get onions on a hot dog anywhere in the world including 7-11. He then proceeded to go back to the kitchen and I overheard him complain loudly to the staff about me being rude and demanding something on the menu that was not allowed.
How can businesses like Mos, with absolutely no customer service, survive in Thailand or anywhere else?

go to the one at Emporium or Paragon, staff will be pleasant and burgers are good

they are small though, so you are still starving afterward. In Tokyo, I prefer the other brand they have for burgers, can't remember the name, much better than MOS

sounds like a new franchise in T21, probably not used yet to customers

I'm surprised you didnt follow him into the kitchen, tell him to shove it and then leave.

The missus chose the restaurant. The manager was Thai, of course.

because some expat managers are even worse than thai.

you'd know that if you had ever left Portland.

Always cracks me up when people refer to a fucking burger joint as a "restaurant".

^Mos is not the same as McD's or BK. The food is prepared and served to the table. Any reasonable person would assume that a satangs worth of chopped onion would not be a big fucking deal. I would never ask for extra onions or pickles at McDonalds.

I heard a lot of people talking about MOS burger so I tried it the other day. Nothing special in my opinion and very messy. The staff though were very nice. This was at the one in the United Center.

Last time I went there my food was given to two Indian chaps sitting opposite me; as I watched them , they fondled the bun, prodded the burger and generally played with my food until they decided that it wasn't what they ordered and called the waitress over. She, picked it up and dumped it in front of me...

Not wishing for anyone to lose face... I got up and left, but I will never eat in another MOS burger...

That's funny....I was in Phuket recently and I ordered a whiskey coke at a bar. I put the glass to the lips and drank from it, then the staff realized they had given me the wrong drink. They took it from me, even after seeing me drink from it, and gave it to an Indian guy on the other side of the bar. Only in Thailand.

Why do Americans always cause problems in restaurants?

I thought Mosburger to be very 'average'. Not much better then 7/11.

That experience is very common in Thailand. I'm glad you posted it but surprised you bothered it is so common.
