Campbells beans are absolutely better. In fact I'd like to challenge any die hard Heinzboyz to actually buy a tin of each and do a taste test.

If there was a beans event in the Olympics then it would be my prediction that Campbells would take Gold, HP would take Silver and Heinz would come limping home with Bronze.

Who wants to eat bronze level beans? Not me.

I prefer Campbells, but if i'm eating heinz, or god forbid I get stuck with the Thai brands I mix in a little HP sauce before cooking. Makes the flavour much better.

Good God- first the Limeys were engaged in a battle over which artery-clogging breakfast will kill you the fastest, and now they're embroiled in some sort of a 'baked bean brouhaha' (notice the alliteration).

TD never ceases to amuse me.

Canned beans, often with pork, were among the first convenience foods. Canned salt pork and beans with stewed tomatoes was supplied to the US Army during the American Civil War in the 1860s.[2] The U.S. Food and Drug Administration stated in 1996 that "It has for years been recognized by consumers generally that the designation 'beans with pork,' or 'pork and beans' is the common or usual name for an article of commerce that contains very little pork."[3] This is typically a piece of salt pork to add fat to the dish.

    all about the flavor.

My mum made a great Ulster fry on Christmas day. We had potato bread instead of fried bread.

Haven't had a decent fry up since then..

Much as I like an FEB, it is tough to beat biscuits and gravy, with coffee, of course.

^ If I could find a bag of English muffins in Chiang Mai, I would make that for my breakfast this weekend. Looks good.

    So does the enchiladas.
