Good burgers are certainly not all over.........BUT, try Dukes inside the Emporium (5th floor I think) in Bangkok. They really make outstanding burgers.

Roadhouse yes, Sportsman not yet. Roadhouse burger was quite decent actually as I recall. They're also pretty good round the corner at The Barbican. Best of all is probably Duke's though in The Emporium. But, one good place and 2 OK places is still sorely lacking in my book.

Its just near to my work so I've eaten there a few times. Food is great. Was craving a burger so hit it. Fat home-made style beef patty... slaw and usual sides, nice and big and very satisfying. Tried the speedway club sandwich which was great and a few dishes of the thai food. Chili cheese fries were 165B, maybe dropped the price but were spot on. Had the massaman curry off the thai menu, absolute best I've had, 125baht but a big serve with a kind-of pancake side, like a flakey nan bread.

Its part of the new superclub Insomnia hidden behind it (cause its an after-hours) which is awesome because from 1pm till 1am you can get 29 baht beers at V8, 50baht jack and cokes, and any purchase is free entry to the club. So you can go in before 1, smash some beers, head in a back entrance to the club (saving 300baht entry) and get blinded by lasers, huge video screen and sexy dancers. Busy on Monday night even, but gets busy late, party from midnight, jumpin from 2am, really nice local salary girls, met some total stunners. Friday was off the hook till 5am stumbled out to the diner for breakfast to soak up the hangover. Can really recommend, have been the best nights out in Bkk.

Haha... I didn't eat all that in one night. Been there about 8 times now, working my way through the menu. But yeah... I'm a little big. And when one of the the girls in Insomnia told me I was pompui I patted my stomach and said "But that is where my power comes from"... and she looked at my stomach and looked at my face and then her eyes looked to the side as if she was thinking then she hugged me... so i think she believed me. Won't tell you the rest cause this is the food and drink section of the forum. But yeah... can recommend that restaurant and the attached club is awesome.
