    A Decent Cheesecake

    http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/lif...cle6800358.ece

Made this recipe for the first time yesterday, and turned out really well. The lime juice in the cheese mix works fine, and gives it a refreshing bite. I halved the quantities and it's more than enough for 6.

Not sure what Graham Crackers are, I got digestive biscuits from Villa Market, though I think they also have them in the larger Tesco Lotus. One tip, it's definitely easier if you have a food processor.

I have heard that the Dukes in CM has an awesome cheesecake. Can any of our CM give us a review?

I am sure we could organise an entire NY cheese cake to be sent down if you told us by who and where?

    Would be my pleasure!

Right, because what we really want is an indecent cheesecake.

Got to tell you folks, my impression of this particular forum was that it was for those who are interested in cooking etc etc. Sure, there are lots of places to buy this ready made stuff, and we can discuss the various merits if that's really important. However, my initial post was really directed at those who want to cook/prepare original food. Sorry if this offends those who want a dialogue about shopping habits and produce availability etc. Just feel that in the absence of (Western) quality foods, the option is to make them yourself, and I'm more than happy to do so if I can get the ingredients. Maybe I've missed something in the forum???
