...we took a Grab taxi to the restaurant: comfortable, clean and efficient...as the restaurant is on Ruam Rudee we expected prices to be higher and perhaps the clientele more discriminating: 1 out of 2 isn't bad. We started with lightly dressed crab chunks on raw spinach leaves with green apple slices...ok, but not wonderful. The second starter was the star: Parma ham with figs and mozzarella on a pizza crust base: delicious! We spurned the seafood pizza as "clam no hab" and went with the Napolitana instead: tomato base with anchovies and capers...not bad with a little added chili oil. The dessert was a chocolate "sinfonie" of ice cream, cream, and chocolate mousse on a bed of chocolate crumble...fine, but nothing to excite the sweet tooth. I had the very competent Nero d'Avola (red) to accompany the meal. Good service, excellent wine selection, but over-priced menu considering the Italian restaurant competition in bkk. No return visit is planned...
