    Pala Once Again

    ...lunch today was light...though weighted in favor of 5 glasses of Montepulciano (I don't know what came over me)...pan fried snapper, a chicory salad (first time to see chicory on a menu in Thailand) and a tiramisu...the Italian at the next table said the chicory should have been plunged into ice water and then served in the salad to ensure crispness...he was probably right, but the salad was still delicious...and crisp enough...

    This was only a portion of the meal: we also had two tomato bruschetta and water...the total came to B2,800 for two. However, our normal luncheon for two here is around B1,800 to 2,000 (3 glasses of wine and no tiramisu)...BTS did the driving...

    I haven't been inside Pala for probably about two years, but I still pick up some food to go when I'm in the area. I really like the food, but the seating was ridiculously cramped more often than not.
