Apologies, I have just used the edit function to cut out avatars and images, so I only get the links now. Can be more selective with what I view and the pages load quicker on my jungle cocoa tin interweb.
Kind of ironic. I was just looking for a setting that removes all the words, and leaves just the photos.

Braver man than I. You do know that 70% of all road deaths in Thailand are attributed to motorbikes right?

Cheers, good to know. Although to be fair, if I get to within one letter of Thai place names I see it as a win. When it comes to places like koh phangan I'm more than happy if I get to within three!

I wasn't going to post on this thread for a while, what with me clearly being the only person who's prepared to give egg sandwiches the respect they deserve (OP where art thou?) and the fact that most of mine look exactly the same.

But I knew Betty would be licking his lips with delight if he saw the way this yolk literally gushed out leaving a nice little puddle to wipe the crusts in.

Alas, I have graced my palate with many an oeuf since the thread's inception, but the arrival of my family coupled with the laborious nature of working in the West has left me with approximately seven seconds worth of free time per month.

    Keep it going Fozzy!

    Red sent.

That looks nice. Better ham (well, ham...) and another 45 secs for the egg, and decent bread, and some nice butter and mustard then we'd have a contender...

Edit to add: on further inspection, the bread looks fine.

    A point of order:

Using Fozzy's wonderful creation as an example, at what point does an egg sandwich become a ham and duck sandwich with an egg on it?

Is the egg the center point of such a sandwich or has it become reduced to being a mere topping?

    There's no duck involved.

I just left off the word "egg" assuming the context of the thread would be enough. It was a poached duck (egg) and ham sandwich.

If it had any duck in it, then as you say quite rightly, it would be a duck sandwich with an egg.

Shit, now you got me thinking about duck sandwiches.

Is the next one going to be an Ostrich egg? Or a wee teensy wincy quail egg.

On Saturday Kitchen Live the other day, one of the chef's said that to get the yolk in the middle of your fried egg you should shake the egg before cracking.

    It does work.

I hate to be be a wet blanket but quite frankly I don't think an egg has any business being on, in, or in any way associated with, a sandwich.
    Too mushy.

All these Nigella and Jaimie arty farty types, with their dressings and accompaniments have no idea. All you really need is 2 slices of bread and a slightly runny fried egg. Back to basics.

Exactly, slightly runny egg is too mushy, even in a toasted sandwich maker.
