A dam fine sentiment IMO, the best way of identifing wether a snake is poisionous is by looking closly at its dead body
reminds me of a saying we had in Zambia

"The best way to see a crocodile is on a Italian man's feet."

should't that be "around an Italian man's feet"?
Any error in tact, fact or spelling is purely due to transmissional errors...

    Bump.

Not in the pond but I didn't want to start another thread - and it seems more on topic than gay motorcyclists.

This whip snake was very difficult to find again if you took your eyes of it.

looks like a rat snake...(big rats eyes)they like to eat frogs and small reptiles, had one in a pond beside our room, just the head sticking out of the water so i go and poke it with a stick , bloody thing was almost 3 metres long..scared the crap out of me.(but they are harmless)..love the whip snakes, they tend to stay in a certain spot, we had some at the resort, some babies and there mom or dad. very cool snake to watch.these grow upto 1.2 meters one in pic is a young one.

What do you reckon this snake is then? Found him out back, probably killed by the kitten that hangs out in our yard. Added lighter to show size.

a baby slider , not sure it's proper name, left my snake book in nz (well worth the 300bht)..most if not all grass snakes are harmless, cept maybe the keelback (orange/yellow patch on it's neck) they are just nasty.
Thai's are not taught about snakes in school and are just told all snakes are dangerous..result harmless snake gets killed due to ignorance.

Ok lets take our fragile life into our own hands, and play lets annoy the snake.
Better still recoginise the reality, its a snake and i am not a recoginised snake expert.
SO leave it alone, get some one to remove it or back off or run to the nearest exit.
    life aint worth the risk
