I need it for my balcony to keep the "Rats Of The Sky" away.
Need to be a net for quite big fish, just so that the pigeons can't fly through it.
Thanks

Any hardware or gardening shop should have nylon net used to protect gardens from birds. Comes in a big roll. Roll off how ever much you need to cover your balcony. A lot cheaper than a fishing net. And easier to find.
Dealing with the same problem at present, heaps of fishing nets for sale in just about any market in Thailand, the best my drunken mind can find to show some locals is:
ปากปลา
Surely must be something you could feed them to get rid of em.
I am going to try LINNET on cooked rice, it sure works on house sparrows, but they are smart bastards and it only works for a short time and they quit eating it.
But thats OK as Thai will eat the sparrows so better not to poison them, but even Thai will not eat pigeons.
Funny folks, I though they would eat anything,, but pigeons and Escargot are out.
Feeding pigeons to get rid of them???
They don't come to my balcony to eat, they come there to shit, fuck and occasionally die behind the aircond.
Not at all BG, just serve it up and charge a little more and call it Chinese. I know Thais who fly to Hong Kong for the pigeons. And oh yeah I have seen a many sucking down a snail.Originally Posted by blackgang
Strange, but the ones around here will not eat em, I know Viets eat the bejesus out of snails and they have a giant sumbitch here so I thought raising them would be a good business, even the smaller garden varietys thrive quite well,, but the bastards would not eat them, only the ones from the pond and not the garden variety with the feelers sticking up.Originally Posted by aging one
But I have a couple pigeons living up on my roof overhand on the carport roof, so am going to mix up some cooked rice and put a tad of linnet on it and see if they will eat it.
Get an air rifle. Great for the eye/hand co-ordination and much more fun than Wi. They are good eating too. Boil them with a stone. When the stone is soft they're ready.
For a non violent approach try one of those stuffed cats with the wobbly head.
Mike,
Are you sure he means gill fishing net and not a cast net???
Check Candelas . I bought a 30' seine net 30 years ago and I am still using it today.
Too bloody right, pidgeon in mushroom hotpot is superbOriginally Posted by aging one
