By popular demand - my garden

Ok, ok, ok, shut up already. God, the clamour! So here is a photo showing just part of the Main Estate Grounds of Benbaaa Manor.

In the left foreground, you may be able to make out the big gate, which is what I open when visitors call or when I go out.

In the right foreground, you can see the main steps leading to the Manor's Main Front Portico and the Grand Entrance itself.

In the centre of the picture are my formal lawns, where I host croquet tournaments, and where we pitch the marquee for garden parties.

Arranged behind the formal lawns, you can make out a small rockery, backed by a substantial and somewhat 'wild' tropical arrangement including some green plants and some other green plants.

Just to the right of the green plants is the spiritual heart of Benbaaa Manor, the spirit house, where the ghosts of two dead dogs and three missing cats do dwell.

Behind this section of the Estate Grounds, you can also see the looming feature known as my neighbour's house. This is where p'Daeng lives. She likes to borrow money from her neighbours to play cards, and then forgets to pay them back.

Coming soon: the bit around the left hand side where I hang the washing; the bit around the right hand side where nothing much happens; and the bit at the back where I keep the dustbin and the water settling tank.
The sleep of reason brings forth monsters.

What about the bit where you keep the naked handcuffed nubiles and the whipped cream? that's my favourite bit.

Looks like during the shindig up north I will have to make a visit to Benbaa's pad.

Very nice! I see that the previous owners and your wife have successfully suppressed their typical Thai urges to cover everything in sight with cement!

I was thinking the same thing. When you gonna rip out all that troublesome greenery and replace it with some maintenance-free concrete?

I was thinking maybe astroturf and plastic trees, as a sort of halfway house...

That's because you are a non-smoker but always carry a lighter

Yes, he's invited me & GoW to stay there when we come up in June.

    Didn't he tell you?
