Sold cup at auction yesterday, 18.58 Baht per kg.
Outstanding production for early November due to the cooler weather, just shy of 3 metric tonnes.
Staff were commenting how everybody would be happy with 25 Baht per kg prices.
I said, just imagine if we getting a double "below normal" price of 37 Baht per kg...
The missus would be banking 60k+ instead of 30k...

Sold cup at auction yesterday, back to above the 20.00 Baht threshold, so back to a 60/40 split.
    Hooray!
20.58 Baht per kg. 16 bidders, so obviously money still to be made.
Output is just getting better and better, and for the first fortnight ever, broken thru the 3 metric tonnes barrier.
    After 9 years.
    And still in November!
What gets me are the different price fluctuations from province to province at the (often govt run) auctions.
The day we are getting 20 something, down in Sisaket the price is 17 something.

Don't worry mate, the government is here to help! You'll have the price back up in no time!

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Thamanat Prompow's proposal to give away 30 million latex pillows to support rubber farmers has prompted questions about its sustainability and transparency, forcing one of his close aides to mount a defence of the plan on Monday.

This came after Future Forward Party (FFP) list-MP Wirote Lakkhana-adisorn joined netizens in criticising the idea of mobilising 18 billion baht to manufacture the pillows.

Yeah, funnily enough, the govt guy will coincidentally have a family member on a latex pillow factory board....
    Strange that, innit.

Sold cup at auction yesterday, 23.35 Baht per kg.
One parcel of land shut down for the season, panels being painted, the other parcel has one more fortnight's tapping left.
We go again late March - early April.

Just got the prices in from 11 bidders at today's auction.
18.58 Baht per kg for cup.
Lowest bid was a very cheeky 15.00.
We were expecting lower prices due to all the CoronaShite news, if it had'nt been for that, we would have had mid 20's prices, a full 7 Baht drop.
One parcel of land still open was doing decent output and would have had one more sale, but not at these prices for Feb.
Close the plantations now, go again in 6-8 weeks.

For those interested Jim is back in Oz. Banged up at the Crown casino hotel. So no smokes or booze and one armed bandits a few floors below. Purgatory but only two weeks minus a few days.
