This was taken in a VERY filthy Chinese town called Binzhou. I lived there for 3 months & had a BLAST!

How do you manage glorious technicolor in front ad black and white at the back ?

Photoshop.

Open the photo you want to manipulate. Extract part of the image you want to keep, magic wand works ok but a better result is achieved manually, save pic in another name. Open original pic and add a b&w filter (desaturate works too but not as many controls. Use adjustments, such as brightness and contrast to achieve desired effect). Copy the extracted pic and paste it over the original. Job done.

There are other ways to do it but this works best for me.

Begbie, it's done in photoshop. Simply open your PS, select inverse, mode, gray scale and adjust it the way you want it.
