I learned early from lying teachers that pi = 22/7 or 3.142857 recurring, an easy enough answer I was happy to pack into my knowledge bin, then about 50 years ago discovered it's not precisely 22/7 but more or less. Still not over it!Quote:

Reminds me of my very first attempt on bowling. Swinging the heavy ball in a curve had a similar result. But it also led to a cute young lady showing me how to do it properly.
