Here, shown at their base at Ban Mae Khaeng, Amphoe Dan Sai, Loei Province, are a few of the Special National Police Unit to pursue the fashion of the day - ridding the country of the dreaded Communist guerrillas and their assorted activities. In this instance the target were the "Red Hmong" in the mountains of Loei and Chiang Rai.
