Last night on TV there was some old movie with Bill Murray on it that reminded me about this thread.

This morning I read on Sydney Morning Herald - Business News, World News & Breaking News in Australia this:

Bill Murray 'addicted to sex, drugs and alcohol'



The wife of actor Bill Murray has filed for divorce after nearly 11 years of marriage, alleging he abused her and is addicted to marijuana and alcohol.

Jennifer Butler Murray filed divorce papers in Charleston County in South Carolina.

The complaint alleges frequent abandonment by the actor, who is known for his roles in movies such as Lost in Translation, Ghostbusters and Caddyshack, and appears in the new movie Get Smart.

In 2006 Butler moved with her children to Sullivan's Islands, South Carolina, "due to defendant's adultery, addiction to marijuana and alcohol, abusive behavior, physical abuse, sexual addictions, and frequent abandonment," the petition said.

I've just read all 18 pages and committed myself to my second 4 pack of Leo.

I'd like to know how this thread relates to your recent thread on returning to Bali AO and hopefully your trip down memory lane will inspire you to continue the story.

I started reading it and I was thinking, "How the hell is he remembering such detail, especially the names and conversations? I can't even remember going to college and my recollection of uni is sketchy at the very least. And that was only 10 years ago"

But then my memory started to jog every time I took a smoke break outside on the porch and slowly they started coming back to me. Not sure if I'd blocked a load of shit out but I could only remember major events.

I took a road trip around the California border states that involved all sorts of similar high jinks (more on the fear and loathing side with a lesser jail term but another 80's comedian was involved) that until tonight, I'd forgotten all about it, but now I have some great stories to share with my mates.

So AO, If your up for it, at least let us know what the mystery substance was and how it felt to get set free. And did you get to sample the veggies?

I'd also be interested though in how Thai people coped with the high prices of food, taxi's and general travel that you mentioned from the late 70's, or do you think you were being overcharged? A public bus for 50bt? were the thai's paying that do you think?
