    Finally up the stairs

Left at the water cooler where the cheap charlies fill up their bottles of Namthip.

    Left into the office.

And then sit down to a whole day of working out how to upload all these photos!

The first time I asked them to go somewhere they tried to rip me off. I figure that they're losing a fair bit of cash as I have never tried again. Serves them right, fucking bottom feeding scumbags.

PS - I know where you live now.

    well - here goes.

i start by getting out of bed (4.30 am today, just woke up early and had some work to do anyway!) stagger out to my little garden - to have a smoke and coffee.

then the maid brings me breakfast - after shower and out to the car.

a few turns and we leave my complex - pass the first set of guards and gates...

this is one of the rivers that caused the flooding a few months back in my area - Jakarta has 13 major rivers going thru it - so no wonder....

you can see on the right hand side they've built a new wall to stop the flooding... hmmm we'll see. i suspect it will just channel the water harder and faster....

2nd set of guards gates - we call them Saparms - the red shirted lady there has been giving out free Jakarta posts newspapers each morning - i get mine delivered but i keep taking one form her as well cos she has a cute smile - sorry no close up my hands were shaking....

stop for a pack of smokes....

now we are onto main roads - no idea what that big thing is other than it had stalled and was bunny hopping at 2/3 kms per hour.

    pass the driving range...

then around a major roundabout - the kids all play in that stuff in the centre...

we have our own twin towers - oppostie the roundabout and the entrance to this area... this one is not finished - they other is....

pass by our local pub - OZ Cafe - after work drinks on a friday - live band everynite! (small town mentality)

this intersection suck cos motorcys and cars try and turn here - some mornings police stand here so they cannot - but he must have been sick today or summting

pass by some local shops and food carts - which slows down traffic

they love their graffiti here -

pass by 1 or the only 2 petrol stations in this whole are - there is always a que here - thanks to governement regualtion. never mind - that's the drivers job now!

    we do have a McD's tho, delivery 24hours !

another painful intersection because mini busses park literally in the middle of it to pick up passengers, the lights really are optional - today not to busy (its still early - about 6.30am)

they make this road one way in the morning (motorcycs expected of course) now you may notice 4 lanes - but SOP is to drift from far outside to far inside lane as you go around corners!

here we are .... our friendly guard is stopping traffic to allow us to turn in (but again motor cycs expected - they just go around him) and watch out for motorcycs overtaking you on the right even tho u are turning right!

    time to start some work!

It's ok. Your driver would take the heat; that's what he's paid for.

silly you! i think you're making an assumption that Indonesian Law and police would hold the driver responsible as opposed to the 'whitey'.....

    Ok my turn.

This morning my choice of wheels is the old deadly treadly.

Sorry about the quality of photos but I don't trust myself carrying my new Canon 20D digi camera with me on my jakayarn.

So it's down my short driveway.

    And then chuck a right.

This road bends around a bit. Here are some kids going to school.

Round the back of the local shopping centre.

Look out for the drunks (whoops sorry I mean 'traditional land owners')staggering across the road (yes it is 7.30am)

Here is some of their 'tradtional land' where they spent the entire night drinking, gambling and fornicating all paid for by the government. *sniff* they are so deprived. They would normally still be there except the sprinklers were on so they were on the other side of the road yelling out all sorts of disgusting comments to me as I road by.

Now we reach the end of that street.

    Ahead is the local pub

However as much as I would like to join my brothers in the gutter I decide to turn left.

As you can see I pick up the pace here a bit and hit top speed of a blistering 13kmph.

A quick right has me looking at our 24 hour roadhouse, a really wonderful place to be at 3am on a Friday night.

A quick left and cross the road....

...onto the footpath has me looking at the town intersection with the national 1 highway of Australia. Turn left for Darwin 800kms and Right for Perth 3,500kms.

I turn right for Perth and am immediately greeting with the beautiful Lake Kununurra.

I can also see the back of my office building now (and can still call it mine as I only sold the business, not the building). It's the one with the faded green roof and cream walls.

Pull up outside the main doors.

    and in I go

A cheery good morning from my secratary.

Left towards my office (the box in the far corner)

Quick check to see how my graphic designer got on yesterday evening with this weeks paper. Looks like only 2 pages to go which means we are on deadline.

    And finally into my office.

News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.

Yes it is a girls bike but I am tough and hard because I don't wear a helmet and wave to the police when I ride past

I bought it for the wife but she decided to get pregnant so I have sort of inherited it. Mind you I need the excersise more then she does so probebly a good thing.

The best thing about a girls bike is that it is easy to get my leg over when I ride to work on a friday wearing a skirt as every Friday in my office is dress up like your secratary day.

The police probably don't pull you over cause the're laying on the ground pissin' themselves laughing at some chubby bloke trying to wobble his way to work on a GIRLS bike.

    Anyway nice pics MM
